Twenty products are finalists for the 2014 Packaging Impact Award program, with winners scheduled to be announced in October at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit.

The contest attracted 67 entries from 56 companies, according to a news release from the Newark, Del.-based association. The Impact Award program recognizes companies that use innovative packaging to maximize sales of fresh produce and floral products.

Factors considered during the selection of finalists include whether the packaging captures consumer attention, drives sales and differentiates products from the competition, according to the PMA website. Winners will be announced Oct. 17 at the trade show in Anaheim, Calif.

PMA did not release what packaging from each company is being considered for the award.
