The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services in Tallahassee has approved Warrior II with Zeon Technology from Syngenta Crop Protection of Greensboro, N.C., for use on more than 23 crop groups. They include corn, cotton, potatoes, rice, soybeans and vegetables.
Warrior II contains 2.08 pounds of the active ingredient lambda-cyhalothrin per gallon—twice as much as the original Warrior, which it will replace in most U.S. markets.
Zeon technology is a patented encapsulation process. It is a pyrethroid and belongs to the Insecticide Resistance Action Committee's Group 3.
